Stedia reads, searches and drafts on its own. Anything that sends, creates, changes or deletes stops and waits for your okay. Our server checks that, not the AI.
An approval card in chat: a Gmail message to a law firm, every field shown. Example data.
How it works
Stedia prepares it
The action is ready with every detail: recipient, subject, text, amount or file.
You check the card
Approve, change it, or deny with a note. Stedia takes the note into its next draft.
Only then does it happen
The action runs exactly as you saw it, and the audit log records who decided and when.
In detail
What asks first, and what does not
Stedia reads your email, sheets and resources without asking. As soon as an action sends, creates, changes or deletes something, it shows “Asks first” and waits for you. The help center lists, for every tool, which of its actions ask first.
You see what will happen
The card shows the action with every value: for an email, the recipient, the subject and the full text. “Change” lets you edit values and approve with your changes. “Deny with note” stops the action and tells Stedia what to do instead. When Stedia wants to run several actions at once, one card holds them all, with “Approve all”.
Don’t ask again for 7 days
For work that repeats, tick “Don’t ask again for 7 days” before you approve. The same action then runs in your chats without asking for a week. Everything you allowed this way is listed in settings under “Allowed without asking”, and “Revoke” takes it back at any time. It also works for a single chat: “Allow without asking in this chat” applies to you only, in that chat.
Schedules have their own rules
A schedule runs even when nobody is at the screen. So before it starts, it does a test run that sends nothing and lists every action that would ask first. It only goes live once you have allowed those actions one by one. Nothing you allowed in a chat ever applies to a schedule.
Open approvals collect in one place
Open approvals from chats and schedules collect on the Activity tab under “Needs you”. If your team uses Stedia in Slack, Teams, Google Chat or WhatsApp, you approve right in the conversation, with buttons. An approval goes to the person whose chat it came from.
Checked by the server, and logged
An approval covers exactly the action on the card. If the call differs from it, it does not run, and our server checks that, not the AI. Stedia records every decision: which action, who approved or denied it, and when. It also records actions that ran without asking. Some actions can still be undone for 15 minutes afterwards.
