Ask about your numbers in plain words, and Stedia reads them from Excel, Google Sheets or Shopify. The answer comes as a table or a chart, and as a PDF or Word file on your letterhead when you want to pass it on. A schedule writes the same report every week.
The quotes open in the third quarter, answered from a Google Sheet as a table with a short summary. Example data.
How it works
You ask in plain words
For example: how many quotes are open in the third quarter?
Stedia reads the data
It reads the cells in Excel or Google Sheets, or the orders in Shopify, without asking.
You get the report
As a table, a chart, a PDF or a Word file, in the chat and under Resources.
In detail
Straight from your sheet
Give Stedia the link to a spreadsheet, or its name if Google Drive is connected too. It reads the values or the formulas behind them, and it asks Google for access to your spreadsheets and nothing else in your Drive. Reading never asks first. Shop figures come from Shopify, where reading products and orders runs without a prompt as well.
Table or chart
Say “as a chart” and Stedia draws bars, lines, areas or a ring in the reply. Switch to “Table” to see the numbers behind it. The same chart appears in a PDF or Word file made from it, so your readers get the figures you checked in the chat.
As PDF, Word or a page
Documents come as PDF unless you ask for something else, and a PDF carries your full stationery. A Word file is easier to edit and keeps your letterhead’s paper, margins, colors, type, header and footer, without the logo. A page is a single web page in your brand, such as a one-pager or a dashboard, which you can download as an HTML file.
The same report every week
A schedule writes the report on its own, every Friday at 16:00 for example. The help center suggests: “List last week’s Shopify orders. Compare the total with the week before, name the five best-selling products, and write it up as a one-page PDF.” For month-end figures, pick “Last day” under “Which day of the month”. A report that only reads needs no approvals.
Where the reports end up
Every run writes into the schedule’s own conversation and sees what the last few runs concluded. Generated files collect under “Resources → Files”. Filter “Origin” by “Schedules” to find what a schedule wrote, and use “Open in chat” to ask for a change right there.
The same shape every week
Say what the result should look like: “a table with client, stage and volume” gets you the same shape on every run. When a sheet is very large, ask for a period that fits, such as the last 7 days instead of 90. Stedia can make mistakes, so read the figures before you pass them on.
