Type a request on Home, the way you would brief a colleague. Stedia looks in your connected tools, your resources or the web, and returns an answer, a draft or a finished document. Anything that sends or changes something asks you first.

In detail

Start on Home

Type on Home or click “New chat” in the sidebar. The first message starts a new chat and opens it. With several tools connected, type “@” and pick one, for example Outlook instead of Gmail, so Stedia knows which one you mean. The list only shows tools you have connected.

The web and your own documents

“Web search” is on when you open a chat, for things outside your tools such as public prices or opening hours. When the answer is in your own tools, switch it off for that message. Once an admin has set up a knowledge base, the “Knowledge” button searches your own documents for the messages you send, and Stedia names the document the answer came from.

Stedia reads attachments and makes documents

Attach images, PDF, CSV, TXT or Markdown with “Add photos & files”, up to 4 MB each. Ask for the result “as a PDF”, “as a Word file” or “as a chart”, and Stedia makes it right in the chat. A PDF carries your stationery, and every file is also kept under Resources → Files.

Nothing changes without you

Stedia reads without asking. An action that sends, creates, changes or deletes something shows “Asks first” and waits on a card until you approve, change or deny it. Some actions can still be undone for 15 minutes afterwards. To stop Stedia while it is still working on an answer, click “Stop generating”.

Work on it together

Click “Share” and add people from your workspace. Everyone sees the whole conversation, with its files and tool results, and Stedia uses the tools of whoever sends the next message. While a colleague’s message is being answered, you watch the reply come in. A dot in the sidebar marks chats with messages you have not seen yet.

Everything stays findable

The “Activity” tab next to Home shows what waits for your decision, what is running and what comes next. Finished conversations stay in “History”, the searchable archive of your chats, chats with assistants and schedules. In the sidebar, chats are grouped by Today, Yesterday and Earlier, and you archive or delete them from the row menu.
