EU sovereignty
Your data in the EU, and your AI too if you choose.
Stedia is built in Austria. Its servers, database and files are in the EU, and one setting keeps requests to the AI models in the EU as well. Before Stedia sends anything, it waits for your approval, unless you allowed it in advance. Every decision is recorded.

How your data stays in the EU
Six things decide where your data lives and who may do what with it.
- Hosted in the EU
Your chats, files, schedules, assistants and the access to your tools live on servers in the EU.
- AI in the EU if you choose
Set the region to “European Union” and requests to the chat and research models stay in the EU. A request that cannot stay in the EU fails instead of running elsewhere.
- No data stored by the AI provider
If you want, Stedia only uses AI providers that keep neither prompts nor answers after a request.
- Encrypted credentials
Every sign-in to your tools is stored encrypted. The AI never sees passwords or tokens: our server calls the tool itself.
- Approval and audit log
Stedia asks you before it sends, creates, changes or deletes anything, unless you allowed that action in advance. It records who decided what, and when.
- Your own AI provider
On Enterprise, the AI runs through your own account at Google Cloud (Vertex AI), Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI) or Amazon (Bedrock), under your contract.
Where your data is processed
Where each kind of data is processed, and which setting controls it.
Three levels for the AI
A new workspace starts on the region “Global”. Admins and owners switch it before customer data goes in.
- New workspaceStandard
Data in the EU, AI region “Global”: the provider picks the data center, which can be outside the EU.
- For customer dataEuropean Union
Region “European Union” and “No data stored by the AI provider”: requests stay in the EU, and no provider keeps them.
- EnterpriseYour own provider
Your cloud account, your contract. The region still applies, and “Only your key” stops any fallback to Stedia.

Control in your team
- Roles
Members work with what admins switch on. Admins manage tools, teams and AI settings, owners also single sign-on and billing.
- Single sign-on
On Business and Enterprise, your team signs in with Google Workspace or Microsoft. With “Require Google or Microsoft”, people on your domain can sign in no other way.
- Rules and tools per team
Admins switch tools, knowledge and web search off per team. Workspace rules apply in every chat, assistant and schedule.
- When someone leaves
That person’s schedules pause. Stedia removes their personal connections and everything they allowed without asking, and signs them out everywhere. What they made stays.
Questions about sovereignty
Where is my data stored?
Stedia’s servers and database run in the EU, and stored files are kept there too. That covers chats, files, schedules, assistants and the access to your tools.
Does AI processing stay in the EU?
Yes, once the region under AI settings is “European Union”. A new workspace starts on “Global”. A request that cannot stay in the EU fails instead of running elsewhere. Dictation runs wherever its provider serves it.
Do AI providers keep what I send?
With “No data stored by the AI provider” on, Stedia only uses providers that keep nothing after a request. Models without such a provider cannot be picked then.
Can I get a data processing agreement?
Yes, on request. Write to info@stedia.ai or use “Request a DPA” on this page.
How do I delete my data?
Chats and files are deleted by the person who started or created them. An owner deletes the whole workspace under Settings → General → “Leave or delete”, which cannot be undone. Only usage data needed for billing stays, with no link to the workspace.
Can we use our own AI contract?
On Enterprise, the AI runs through your account at Google Cloud (Vertex AI), Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI) or Amazon (Bedrock). If your key fails, a request runs through Stedia instead. With “Only your key” on, requests fail rather than run on Stedia. Only a request already under way can still finish on Stedia. Web search always runs on Stedia.
