An assistant does a recurring job the same way every time.
Set up a recurring job once, such as writing offers, and your whole team then works the same way. An admin gives the assistant its name, instructions, tools and knowledge, tests it on example data and publishes it. Everyone in the workspace then starts a chat with it.
Five assistants in one workspace, each with its task and tools; one still needs Outlook connected. Example data.
How it works
Describe the job
Tell Stedia the task in your own words, and it proposes instructions, tools and knowledge.
Test it on examples
The assistant answers sample requests on example data, without touching your real tools.
Publish it for the team
Everyone opens it from its card, and every turn uses the published version.
In detail
Set up in a chat
Click “Create assistant” and describe the task, the result you expect and when the assistant should ask you. Stedia asks follow-up questions, then proposes instructions, tools and knowledge, and “Apply to draft” takes the proposal over. If you would rather enter everything yourself, switch the “Task” step to “Write it yourself”.
Only the tools it needs
Under “Tools and knowledge” you pick the tools and knowledge bases the assistant may use, and whether it may search the web or create documents. Each tool shows whether it is connected. The person chatting needs their own connection to a tool. If one is missing, the card says “Setup required” and names the tool.
Tested before anyone uses it
On “Testing”, type a request the way it would arrive in a chat. The assistant answers on example data and shows the tool calls it made. The simulation never calls your connected tools and never loads their credentials. Keep good requests as saved tests, and run them all again after every change.
Versions you can go back to
“Publish” creates a version, and Stedia asks you to confirm when a saved test has not passed on the current draft. Chats always use the latest published version, so draft edits never reach your team early. Under “Versions” you copy an older configuration back into the draft.
Rules for the whole workspace
Some rules apply everywhere, for example never promising a delivery date. Put them in the workspace rules once, and they apply to every chat, assistant and schedule. Instructions that several assistants need are written once and shared between them. A tool you block in the workspace rules is unavailable everywhere.
From chat to schedule
An assistant runs when someone asks it in a chat. For a job with set times, such as every Monday, add a schedule and pick the assistant under “Run as”. The schedule then follows its instructions and tools, always in the live version.
